Junji Sarumaru, who has been active in Shooto mixed martial arts for many years, announced his retirement following his match on December 2.

That day’s bout ended in a truly spectacular technical knockout (TKO).

He was able to conclude his career in the finest possible fashion.

Sarumaru was also a world champion in the strawweight division.
