I Gave a Talk at an Elementary School

Once again this year, I gave a talk about work to sixth-grade students at our local Totsuka First Elementary School.

This time, several speakers took turns speaking in a relay-style format.

Within one class period, the fifth-generation owner spoke for 20 minutes alongside professional fighter Ryuto Shiokawa, who also had 20 minutes.

As always, the students listened attentively, their eyes shining with interest.

That alone makes me happy!

Shiokawa was up after me.

He graduated from Totsuka First Elementary School nine years ago, and it is wonderful that he can return to honor his alma mater with his accomplishments!

Not only was he an engaging speaker, but his demonstration was excellent as well.

He went up on stage to teach everyone the basics of kicking, then held striking pads so the students could actually try kicking them—it was a huge hit.

The fifth-generation owner joined in and practiced kicking too.

It was so much fun!!

Finally, I had the chance to take a photo with him in the waiting room, which made for a lovely memento.

Nothing would make me happier than for talks like this to inspire these children to dream about their futures.
