When we serve it to customers, especially to women from abroad, we say “This is a bouquet (flower bouquet)” and serve it.

 

But it’s charming to say to the man you’re with, “This is just a pickle (simply pickles)” and serve it.

 

Aside from the silly things, how about the workmanship of the bouquet?

By the way, the contents of the bouquet in the photo are pickled cucumbers, takuan, red turnip, pickled burdock in soy sauce, pickled shakushina, pickled shiba, radish, Kishu umeboshi, and edible flowers.
