Complimentary Tastings of Waseda Myoga Gelato
Long ago, Waseda was one of the most renowned growing areas for myoga ginger in Edo.
In recent years, thanks to the efforts of many people, Waseda myoga has been revived and is now cultivated in Shakujii, Nerima.
A gelato made with this Waseda myoga has been created by the Waseda University Area Shopping District Association.
Finely chopped myoga is blended generously into this delicately milk-based gelato, and the crisp texture when you bite into the myoga is delightful.
The subtly sweet gelato and myoga make an even better pairing than you might imagine.
At Yahata Sushi, during this trial period, we will serve it complimentary after both lunch and dinner, so please enjoy this new flavor.
This gelato made with Waseda myoga, which has been recognized as an Edo-Tokyo vegetable, is available in limited quantities and for a limited time only. It will end as soon as supplies run out, so please be sure to try it soon!
Waseda Myoga Gelato is also available for purchase at Waseda Shokudo.
